The Trapp family, that’s their name, is American, from the city of Esko, Minnesota. The family consists of Scott, Krissy, Savanna, Molly, and Adam.
On December 6, 2020, the Trapp family was named the tallest family in the world.
How tall is the world’s tallest family?
The Trapp family reaches an incredible average height of 6’8″ (203.29 cm)! Their combined height is equal to half the length of a tennis court.
Who are the members of the world’s tallest family?
The Trapp family has five members:
- Krissy, the mother, stands at 6’3″ (191.2 cm), the shortest in the family. She loves saying she’s the smallest member of the world’s tallest family.
- Scott, the father, stands at 6’8″ (202.7 cm), not far off the average height of this family of giants.
- Molly Steede, the younger daughter, stands at 6’6″ (197.26 cm). Although incredibly tall herself, her big sister has her beat.
- Savanna is the tallest daughter at 6’8″ (203.6 cm)! She’s taller than her father, but still well behind her “little” brother…
- Adam is the tallest of them all, standing at 7’3″ (221.71 cm)! The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, as they say.
All the kids are athletic and play either volleyball or basketball.

This world record was certified through the Guinness Book of World Records. They sent a doctor to the Trapp family’s home, whose mission was to measure each member three times throughout the day, both standing and lying down.
